Hotel California Zhangjiajie

Very pretty and clean room. The manager puts a lot of care into their hotel. It's true what everyone says - he is so friendly and helpful, that he himself is worth chosing this hotel for. Not to far from the central bus station and the Tianmen mountain cableway. Lots of restaurants nearby. Just note - the hotel has 2 buildings, that is why there are 2 different pictures. Use the map they provided to find it, because Amap did not find it.

The Homestay is perfectly located one block away from the Restaurant alley, and 8 min walk from Tianmen cable car entrance. There’s a 24h mini market next door. The accommodation has everything you need with no frills: the elevator reaches all floors, the room has working AC and the shower pressure was good. The highlight of our stay was Jerry: we didn’t really plan our activities in ZJJ, and Jerry was kind enough to book for us the tickets for Tianmen Mountain and suggested us the best way to approach the visit. He also picked us up at the station and drove us to the Forest Park (at a fee) and took our luggage to the hotel and stored them in our room. We would have not been able to visit everything we managed to see without Jerry’s suggestions and help.

Jerry, the host at Hotel California Zhangjiajie, really made our stay exceptional. From the moment we booked, he was on hand to answer all our questions, both before and during the trip. His local knowledge and friendly approach were a huge help, making us feel welcome and well looked after throughout. As for the hotel itself, the location couldn’t have been better. We could easily walk to the railway station, bus station, and Tianmenshan Cableway, with the airport just a short drive away. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with air conditioning, always-hot showers, and reliable Wi-Fi. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Highly recommend this spot if you’re visiting Zhangjiajie!

Despite staying only for a few hours, arriving at 7 PM and leaving at 7 AM the next day, my experience was excellent. Jerry was incredibly helpful, answering all my questions about the Zhangjiajie trip and even assisting me with purchasing the Tianmen Mountain entrance ticket, which solved a big issue for me. The hostel's location is ideal—within walking distance of Tianmen Mountain and directly across from the bus station.

Beautiful room with good mattresses, big room, nice design. We were staying in the newer part of the hotel, away from the check-in desk. The owner was very helpful, giving tips and helping us get a taxi early in the morning, because we had made a mistake with our train station. We only stayed for one night unfortunately, would have liked to stay longer. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs to stay in Zhangjiajie.
